About FurnitureFit

FurnitureFit is a New Zealand furniture search tool. We don't sell furniture — we help you measure. We index publicly available product information from third-party retailers to help you compare dimensions and find pieces that may fit your space.

Affiliate links

FurnitureFit links you to third-party NZ furniture retailers. Some links include tracking parameters (such as UTM tags) so we can measure which referrals help shoppers find a fit.

When we participate in a retailer's affiliate or partner program, we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases you make after clicking through — at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence which products appear in search results or how they are ranked by fit.

We do not sell furniture. Prices, stock, delivery, warranties, and returns are handled entirely by the retailer. Always check the retailer's website before buying.

What we collect

• Account (optional): email and password via Supabase Auth if you choose to sign up (e.g. for CSV import).
• Searches: dimensions, filters, and keywords you enter to find matching products.
• Outbound clicks: when you click through to a retailer, we log the product, retailer, and timestamp to understand what helps users — not to build advertising profiles.
• Technical data: standard server and hosting logs (e.g. IP address, browser type, pages visited) via our hosting provider (Vercel) and database provider (Supabase).

Cookies & analytics

FurnitureFit uses essential cookies and local storage for sign-in sessions when you use an account. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies.

We may add privacy-friendly analytics (such as Plausible or Google Analytics) in future to understand how people use the search tool. If we do, this page will be updated and, where required, we will ask for your consent before non-essential analytics cookies are set.

Retailer websites you visit after clicking through will have their own cookies and privacy policies.

New Zealand Privacy Act 2020

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ) and the Information Privacy Principles (IPPs). In summary:

• We collect personal information only for legitimate purposes connected with operating FurnitureFit.
• We take reasonable steps to keep information secure and accurate.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• You may request access to or correction of personal information we hold about you by contacting us (see below).

If you have concerns we have not resolved, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).

Product data

Dimensions, images, prices, and materials come from public retailer pages and may be incomplete, inferred, or out of date. Packaging dimensions, assembled size, and in-store display can differ. Use our data as a guide only and always confirm measurements on the retailer's product page before buying.

Retention & overseas providers

We retain outbound click logs and account data only as long as needed to operate and improve the service. Our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Vercel) may process data in countries outside New Zealand. We use reputable providers with appropriate security and contractual safeguards.
